- Lifeline/Lifetime are a continuation of the Fogo Island Painting Series. This diptych is made up of 2 large scale 5' x 7' acrylic on canvas painting. The paintings draw attention to Fogo Island's barren, rugged, and isolated landscape. The inspiration for this series came during my participation in a workshop with the Shorefast Foundation from 2010–13 that explored the aesthetics of outport interiors. Spending weeks at a time on the island during a harsh winter season fueled feelings that later poured into the images depicted. While the workshop focused on interiors, my paintings, created in 2013, are devoted to exteriors.
